CP Creative Studio Graphic Design Image Library Resources Include:
Image Libraries
Image libraries are websites that offer a huge variety of pictures, graphics and other visual elements. Some are free and some are fee-based. Nothing tells a story like a beautifully shot picture or professionally designed graphic. You’ve probably seen them on company sites to display anything from inventory to advertisements. Many image libraries are subscription-based and the specific terms of use can be found out by visiting their site.
Sourcing images for your project can be fun. If you’re not familiar with this term, this is when you visit an image library site and use their search tool to narrow in on what theme or topic you’re looking for. The search results will display a variety of examples to choose from. Then if you like what you see, you can add them to your collection and eventually make a purchase, if it’s fee-based. Keep in mind, these pictures and graphics can also be used for print media as well. If your project is designed for a professional print shop, any and all imagery will need to be converted to the appropriate color space, which is CMYK. Check with your print shop for details.
Below are some of my favorite resources for professionally rendered imagery. Check them out and sign up to be on their email list. They’ll send you updates including special offers.
